Director of “Orao” Marko Mrkajić Extends 8 March Greetings to the Company’s Female Employees

On the occasion of 8 March – International Women’s Day, the Director of “Orao” a.d. Bijeljina, Marko Mrkajić, presented flowers and appropriate gifts to the female employees of the company, emphasizing that the 107 women working in the company represent a strong driving force behind the development of “Orao” and that they deserve greater rights and recognition within society.

On this occasion, Mrkajić noted that women in “Orao” account for nearly one third of the company’s total workforce and that they make an immeasurable contribution every day to the smooth and efficient functioning of the company’s system.

“I believe that women are, above all, the pillars of every family and of society as a whole. The dedication and expertise they demonstrate within our company prove that they are fully capable of leading major organizational units and consistently giving their very best in their work. I would like to emphasize that the flowers and gifts presented by the company represent only a small token of appreciation for the great achievements women have accomplished throughout history and for the even greater contributions I am confident they will bring in the future,” Mrkajić stated.

He also underlined that “Orao” wishes a happy International Women’s Day not only to the women employed in the company, but to all women who, day by day, demonstrate perseverance and determination in striving for equality, a better position, and greater rights within society.

The company “Orao,” headquartered in Bijeljina, was founded in 1944 in Pančevo, and five years later relocated to Rajlovac near Sarajevo. Following the Defence–Homeland War, the relocation of all production capacities to Bijeljina was ordered, where “Orao” has continued to operate successfully from 1996 to the present day. The company’s core activity is the overhaul of aircraft engines.
